Today was SUCH a hectic day.
Halloween always is.
Classes, then a nice lunch with Liz, then class again!
The wind and rain were relentless today. I REALLY didn't want to disappoint my babes. They were so excited to go out.
We came home, and after praying all day, the rain finally let up.
Only for a half hour, so God told me to go while we had the chance, and we did.
We got about 20 minutes in-until the kids' little bags were full- then it stared to rain again.
Thank you God!
We visited grandparents and aunts too.
Took these few photo amidst the sugar-high children screaming about.
(Though I must confess, I had my fair share too..)

I have a surprise for all of you!
There are two special guests on the blog today, that wanted to wish all of mommy's readers a Happy Halloween..

Everyone, meet my beautiful Fairy Princess Abigail, and my rootin' tootin' Cowboy Benjamin.
(In case you're wondering, they'll be 3 & 2 years in January!)

Hope everyone had a wonderful day :)

I didn't give into my white pants urge!
I went the total opposite.
Cheesie fingers were all over me, but you could never tell on black ;)

After the wedge coming unglued, I used my (/my dad's) 'magic trick' and voila!
Solid as a rock, and guaranteed for life.

You couldn't beat that shoe apart now!

Pretty sure this is the first outfit that I haven't worn a SINGLE F21 item.
My mama challenged me in the comments a while back to do an outfit without an item from there.
Challenge passed.

I'm dealing out some game, set & matches here today, boys.

I must have said it a million times by now but I am ecstatic to say that I am going to be blogging a bit differently come Friday!
That's all you get.
I'm soo close and can't believe I've waited this long!
If you know me in person, you know that when I want something, or need something done I HAVE to do it the day of or ASAP
This girl lacks, patience I tell ya. But hey, I'm workin' on it!

Tomorrow the kids and I are going to a Halloween party, and instead of thinking of a costume I'm trying to think up an outfit that won't be ruined by
A: multiple children and their drinks
B: my children's love for cheesies, thus cheese fingers
C: any other food that might cause stickiness or stains on mama clothes.

I have the most perfect outfit in my head...but all I can seem to pair it with is white pants.
Can't get them out of my head..must resist urge to wear white pants.

Hey guys!

Today I'm linking up a bunch of lovely girls, as they're all hosting a Followers Fest!
So click here, or the button to the side, and it'll link you up with the girls, hundreds of others, and all the rules so you can join in the fun!

I'm going to answer the question what fall/autumn means to me...

+ A new change for myself, and my blog now, and throughout the new year
+ The cold months, the chunky scarves, the sweaters and tall boots.
+ Wonderful little trick or treaters (not you 16 year olds with a mask! that doesn't count in my books), getting to spend time with my family, and others.
+ Hot chocolate by the "fire" (heat dish count?) with pumpkin muffins.
+ All things cozy and knit, mustard yellow, red, orange and green.
+ The Santa Clause parade with my kids, and the fun of bundling them up so tight, they can hardly move.
+ Seeing people put up lights on their houses and trees.
+ The anticipation for Christmas.
+ Knowing that Jesus birthday is coming, and we should never forget the true meaning amidst the holidays and the chaos that they, sometimes, bring.

- It does NOT however, give this little white falling stuff an idea to start falling.
Back off little flakes, it's not December yet!

uh oh

Guess what time it was when I went out to take pics?
Looks more like 10pm to me. It gets dark here SUPER fast now.
Guess what the temperature was.
5°C (41°F for all my American readers)
Guess what tomorrow has?

Uh oh.
I'm clearly not ready for dark, cold, or snow.

I pretty much hibernate when the winter comes.
It could be a million degrees and I would still be cold.

Maybe if I wear a skirt tomorrow I'll trick the weather into thinking it's summer.
Yes? No... :(

Rain rain go away!
ALL day it didn't let up. That makes for a really crooked me.
It always dampens my mood..
BUT I did get outdoor pictures, regardless. Just had to drive around for a few [after Swiss Chalet..so pardon the bloat ;)] and find somewhere with an overhang.

See what I'm talking about with obsessed with flowy tops?
Well this one takes the cake.
Mixed with the combat boots I'm like a rebel Pocahontas.

And I know I've mentioned it before, but I have big plans for this blog to grow, and I don't think I'll be able to wait until Christmas to start it!
When I make a final decision on a start of my ... 'expand/grow my blog project' I'll do a separate post to that to make you all aware of the changes!
Maybe by my 100th post? As a celebration of that many? Hmm

Ahhh so excited!

ps. what do you guys do for photos when it rains? wait it out? skip that day? what if it rains for days?.. :)

Guys, you're all the best! Thanks for all the feedback and love on yesterday's boots!

I can't believe this is my 91st blog post. Time FLYS when you're doing something you love.
I feel the same way towards work lately. I'm starting to see that I'm actually being helpful and am contributing to the faculty! Its so cool.

Along with that, I've been sort of obsessed with certain things lately...
+ work
+ loose, billowy tops
+ reading novels
+ (of course) my boots
+ leggings
+ my sock bun hairstyle
+ and chocolate..

"If you crave chocolate, it doesn’t mean your body has a chocolate deficiency, although I think most people would prefer that. Chocolate is high in magnesium."
Magnesium deficiency maybe? I've always had low iron too.
Hmm where are those multi-vitamins.

[PS, I've been trying to 'open up' without opening up? Trying to write more about myself to be connected with you guys a a deeper level than clothing, but not giving away too much that I don't want to. How am I doing? And going from topic to topic is natural for me, haha. I can say ten thousand things in ten minutes.]

Good things come to those who wait indeed.

See those boots there?
They're the perfect fall boot.
Comfy, warm, stylish, wedge, slouchy, chestnut brown, and all mine.
I can't believe I found my perfect fall boot!

They're pretty much the sister to the Steve Madden 'Intyce' Boots, but Aldo version.
I adore them :) :)

Oh I have so many outfits lined up, and high expectations for you, boots!
You better live up too. Not like the others that failed after a day...you've passed the day test so far!

Do you guys have a favorite fall boot?

(I'll be back tomorrow with some substantial things to say, haha)

Yesterday was one of those days that the thrift store had a magic inventory..
everything was perfect, and everything fit!
..besides one perfect pink pencil skirt that was 4 sizes too small
(I tried anyway praying it would get bigger as I wandered to the change room)

I snatched these pants up for $5.99!
They are immaculate.
I swear that they were a gift, but were never worn and couldn't be returned because the tags were off them.
I was in the market for A. Grey jeans and B. Ankle jeans.
Of course, I got them in black as well, just not the 1969 style.

I can't believe I used to think thrift stores were gross and dirty.
(Of course, being 14-15 we're pretty much ignorant to anything but ourselves aren't we?)
I'm proud to thrift, and will never stop.

Look good and still go home with money, that's never disgusting to me!

Lately, I feel like I'm doing the 30 for 30 remix. I keep grabbing the same colors and items from my closet.
Speaking of that, I doubt Kends is gonna do one soon with her new shop and her hardly posting now, but I might just jump on my own bandwagon and do one soon!

Nevertheless! I bought my lovely boots today, different style than I had intended on getting, but I love these more.
I will have a super post for them on Monday :)

Plus I went thrifting today, and boy was it ever a good day for thrifting! Everyone was too busy getting Halloween costumes, so I snatched up the most awesome green and royal pencil skirts, 2 pairs of gap ankle jeans, pink blazer and some other goodies!
Can't wait to show you.

I did all that shopping in 2 hours, then hub was almost late for work and I had to take backyard pics before he went to work.
Sacrifices, right?

favorite fall outfits

{Outfit Details}
Cardigan - Walmart
Dress, Belt & Earrings - Forever 21
Boots - Urban Original
Lipstick - Maybeline ("Are You Red-dy")

I've always played it safe, wearing nothing but pants all fall and winter, but this year I've realized my favorite fall outfit is a dress with some boots and a cardigan.
+ a scarf, but I'm missing that.

There are not the boots I intended to wear, but they work.
Remember my dilemma awhile back about my new boots breaking?
Well tomorrow I intend to buy a new pair, that are more expensive than what I normally buy, but hope they last then!

I have a million (yeah, that many!) outfits in mind, and I'm hoping to buy a few new items this month that'll remix nicely with the boots!
But no one tell the hubs, okay ;)
